Before the Lord saved me, my life was a series of dismal days. Because of my family’s situation, I had to leave school very early and apprentice to be a seamstress. As a teenager, I stayed up late and got up early, losing myself in work to earn money for my family. God saw my bitterness, so He used my aunt to invite my sister and me to church on Christmas eve of 1997. We received Jesus there and we were baptized.
At 23, I got married and had a baby girl, and from my heart, I was eager to serve the Lord. One night all of my possessions were lost in a fire and I became so depressed. I turned to God and asked for his strength. He soon put it on my heart to start my ministry training. I was equipped through the Open Theological program and took evening courses over several years. God gave me the strength to graduate with a diploma. My training went beyond all my expectations. I know God has helped me so that I can serve Him better.
I am now working as a leader in my local church. Every Saturday evening, there are 34 believers meeting at my mother’s house. I also held an evangelistic party and 24 people received Jesus. Now they have meetings every week. My support allowance from WorldServe Ministries is a special gift from the Lord that I reserve for my evangelical journeys. May God give me grace and keep using me for His kingdom’s work. Amen.
