PERSECUTION FOR THE GOSPEL
Jimma, an area in Western Ethiopia, is dominated by a fanatical sect. Recently, some of its members observed one of our pastors sharing Jesus and asked him to come to their religious compound to speak to their own people.
He went with them— but when he started to share the gospel they stoned him and threw him out. Christian friends took him to the hospital, but his injuries were too severe and he died. In their grief, this pastor’s family has been comforted in knowing that since his death, many from that hostile sect have asked Jesus Christ to be their Saviour.
