One little girl to her pastor father as she contemplated the total destruction of their home,  “Daddy, I think our time here is over and it’s time to be moving on now.”

In the midst of tragedy and destruction, 57 families in one village whose homes were destroyed by the hurricane say, "God has opened doors where there was nothing happening before." As they cry together and share their sorrows they have also come together to help each other and seek God in ways they could not before.

One pastor’s wife whose home had been destroyed addressed a helpful church group from a neighboring city, “Don’t give us anything, we really do not need it compared to other people who have really suffered greater loss!”

During the increased restrictions imposed by the Cuban government one pastor was arrested for passing out tracts which explained the hope that people could have in Jesus Christ. They considered it “anti-Revolutionary” propaganda.

Pastor Daniel says, “I am thankful the hurricane came along because God used it to speak to people in ways that could not have happened otherwise. People helping each other in all kinds of ways; no one is in a better situation than anyone else and so we are all in this together. Families which hated each other now come together to cooperate and rebuild. Our house churches are full of people looking for hope and we can reach out to them!”
